Information System and Scientific Computing (S2IS)

The Information System and Scientific Computing Department (S2IS) ensures several missions:

• the implementation, administration, securing and maintenance of computer work tools, systems and networks, essential to the activity of IPAG staff;
• Support to projects in data acquisition, production and analysis phases;
• the collection, organization, valorization and availability of IPAG’s information as well as document management.

More generally, the service brings its expertise to the personnel and ensures the interface with the tutelles and the partners of the institute for the questions of data processing and network. This service works in collaboration with the service information systems of the OSUG for the mutualized actions between laboratories of the Observatory, and with the infrastructure of intensive calculation and data GRICAD.
