Internships
Internships are an occasion to put in practice academic knowledge and to discover the life of a research lab and contemporary scientific topics. The length and type of internship varies according to your studies, your motivation, staff availability. Interns have a gratuity for stays longer than 3 months. The best way to apply is to go through the "research" pages to find the themes that interest you and to contact by email the scientists working on these themes. The Grenoble University Space Center (Centre Spatial Universitaire Grenoblois, CSUG), to which we are linked, also provides internship opportunities.
Fabien Louvet collects all enquiries regarding internships at IPAG. If you don’t know who to contact, send him your CV and motivation letter (1-2 pages detailing your interests). It is best to contact us before December for an internship the following year: we can host only so many students and the March to July period is very crowded.
Finally, all the "Master 2" internships proposed in France in astrophysics are advertised on this server of the French Astronomical Society (SF2A) (see here a list limited to offers at IPAG). These internships target graduate students following the second year of a physics MSc course ("Master 2").
