I am mostly interested in Magnetohydrodynamics
and Plasma Physics, as frameworks for describing
the behaviour of ionized matter under the influence of magnetic fields.
Astrophysical conditions can hardly be experimentally
obtained on Earth. Thus, applying these frameworks to such
situations allows not only the understanding of the relevant dynamical
mechanisms
but also the refinement of our own knowledge on those theories. As such,
astrophysics can be seen as an ideal field for testing our representations
of reality.
My research activity concerns the physics of magnetized Keplerian accretion discs driving jets and their connexion with their local environment. This includes:
Most of these themes find their applications in Active Galactic Nuclei or Galactic Radio Sources (where the central object is supposed to be a black hole) and Young Stellar Objects (where the central object is a protostar).
