Jonathan Ferreira's Research Activities


I am mostly interested in Magnetohydrodynamics and Plasma Physics, as frameworks for describing the behaviour of ionized matter under the influence of magnetic fields.
Astrophysical conditions can hardly be experimentally obtained on Earth. Thus, applying these frameworks to such situations allows not only the understanding of the relevant dynamical mechanisms but also the refinement of our own knowledge on those theories. As such, astrophysics can be seen as an ideal field for testing our representations of reality.

My research activity concerns the physics of magnetized Keplerian accretion discs driving jets and their connexion with their local environment. This includes:
