Optical properties

At 1 µm, the optical properties calculated with the Mie theory gives an albedo = 0.6474786 , asymmetry parameter g = 0.6296066, opacity = 4752.16 cm2/g.

The following figure presents the dust opacity (full line = total opacity and dotted line = scattering opacity).

Scattering is highly anistropic as shown in the scattering matrix.
The grain size is equal to the wavelength and the Mie theory predicts resonances that must be seen in the scattered light images and polarization maps.
