Interstellar

Astrochimie Formation d'étoiles Collisions moléculaires Univers Froid

The Interstellar team is involved in studying the closely coupled physical and chemical processes occurring along the galactic matter cycle, combining observational, numerical, and theoretical approaches. Particular emphasis is put on the star and planetary formation stages. The infrared and radio signatures from interstellar grains and molecules, observed with the most powerful instruments (IRAM telescopes, Herschel and Planck satellites, ALMA interferometer...) are the main observational facilities to explore all the steps along this long sequence, leading from the atoms synthesized in the star interiors to the prebiotic complex organic molecules.

Our main research topics are : Astrochemistry - Star formation - Molecular collisions - Cold Universe
