CNRS

CNRS provides additional funding for projects through various calls managed by its institutes and its action for interdisciplinarity (MI). In astrophysics, national programs set up by CNRS and other institutions (CEA, CNES) fund collaborative projects through yearly calls. The commission de spécialistes (CSAA) issues a yearly call for bigger projects. Funding for large research infrastructures is awarded by the French research ministry. CNRS also plays a major role in coordinating large programs operated by the ANR.

IPAG receives funding every year for projects presented to these actions, notably to the national programs on stellar physics (PNPS), high energies (PNHE), planetary science (PNP), interstellar medium (PCMI), high angular resolution (ASHRA), and by the CSAA (CTA, ELT/MORFEO projects).
