After more 20 years of operation, HARPS continues to be one of the most precise, stable, and and consequently prolific planet-searcher spectrographs. Despite not being specifically designed for low-mass stars, over 200 M dwarfs have been monitored with HARPS during this time. Through a comprehensive and uniform analysis of the radial velocity data from this sample, we have established a new planetary occurrence statistics for M dwarfs. In 2023, NIRPS was officially integrated with HARPS on the ESO 3.6-m telescope, achieving radial velocity precision of 1 m/s. This NIRPS-HARPS tandem stands out as one of the best instruments for probing the habitable zones of the closest M dwarfs.
